Everything You Need to Know About the Dolly Parton Imagination Library
1. How long does it take to receive my child’s first book after enrollment?
-
After receiving confirmation that your child is enrolled, it typically takes 6-8 weeks for the first book to arrive. Books are processed approximately six weeks before mailing, and because Penguin Random House prints books specifically for this program, delivery times may vary.
2.Who is eligible for the Imagination Library?
-
The Dolly Parton Imagination Library is a free book-gifting program for children from birth to age five. Parents, legal guardians, or authorized adults can enroll eligible children.
3. My older child already receives books. Will my younger child get the same ones?
-
The Book Selection Committee rotates about 25% of titles for each age group each year. While some books may repeat, most will be new and age-appropriate for your younger child.
4.Why do my child’s books arrive at different times each month?
-
To keep costs manageable, Penguin Random House prints books monthly for each age group. Books are mailed as they become available, so delivery times may vary within the month.
5. Can I sign my child up if I don’t live in Skagit County?
-
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library operates through local affiliates. Use the zip code lookup tool on our website to find an affiliate serving your area. Check Availability.
6. Will my twins receive the same books each month?
-
Yes, each twin will receive their own identical set of books. By the time they graduate, both children will have a complete collection of age-appropriate books.
