Youth United Varsity in Volunteerism (ViV) clubs from Anacortes, Burlington-Edison, Concrete and Sedro-Woolley High School are joining forces to get books into the hands of Skagit County Families, especially those with kids under age five. They are doing so by championing the We’re Reading campaign.

“It’s important for kids to have books…they offer a kind of joy and imagination you just can’t get anywhere else. I want kids to learn to enjoy books from a young age”

Abigail Thomas

ViV member, Youth United Varsity in Volunteerism

Students are working together to raise money to buy books that can be given to families in WIC and Head Start programs in each community. With a $10 donation, you can help purchase culturally and developmentally appropriate books for our youngest community members.

Help us reach our goal of collecting $2000 for books before World Book Day, March 7th!
